Tony-award-winning classic 'Fiddler on the Roof' dances its way to City Springs Theatre

When “Fiddler on the Roof” appeared on Broadway in 1964, the production won 9 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and by the time of its last performance in 1972, it was the longest-running show on Broadway. Now, City Springs Theatre Company will kick off its new season with their production of Fiddler, directed by the company’s artistic director and Tony winner himself – Shuler Hensley. In this interview, “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes speaks with Shuler Hensley about the production. 

“The subject of family and tradition and religious background and all of these elements that are in ‘Fiddler’ is what makes it such a universal story,” Hensley said.
