Tony award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown on Broadway musical 'Parade' at the Alliance
The Broadway musical “Parade” brings to life the heartbreaking true story of Leo Frank, a Jewish man wrongfully convicted of murder and lynched by an antisemitic mob in Georgia in 1915. A new Broadway revival of the musical proves the urgent relevance of its story today as the new show attracted a group of neo-Nazi demonstrators at its premiere recently.
“Parade” composer and lyricist Jason Robert Brown, who won the Tony award for his score to the musical, will be in Atlanta on April 11 as a guest of Neranenah and the Alliance Theatre for an evening of music and conversation about “Parade” and other works. In this interview, composer Jason Robert Brown joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to talk about his work and upcoming Atlanta appearance.
Brown will be at the Alliance Theatre on April 11 for an evening of music and conversation. More information is available here.
