An opera performance like no other will take place soon in Buckhead.

The resident vocal ensemble at Canterbury Court Retirement Community, known as the Canterbury Choristers, is performing what might be the first-ever opera sung by a cast of all 80- to 90-year-olds.

They’re presenting Gilbert & Sullivan’s one-act comic opera “Trial by Jury,” free and open to the public at Canterbury Court on June 4 and 6.

Canterbury Choristers’ musical director John King Carter joins Lois Reitzes on “City Lights” to tell us more about this remarkable ensemble and their joy in sharing music.
