What Next for DeKalb County Schools: A Talk with SACS Chief Mark Elgart

Mark Elgart, the CEO of SACS’s parent firm, AdvancEd, says the school system has to show progress even before any replacement board members are seated.  The suspensions of the six board members were based in part on a scathing report issued by SACS last December.  It outlined a string of governance problems on the DeKalb Board of Education.

On Tuesday, March 5, Elgart spoke with WABE’s Denis O’Hayer.
