WUSSY Mag Wants Queer Voices Heard Around The World
Since its inception in 2015, WUSSY Mag has spotlighted, amplified, and been a voice for Atlanta’s queer community. But it doesn’t stop there. WUSSY’s readership now spans across the seas to London and Berlin and up the United States eastern seaboard to Asheville, North Carolina and New York City.
Founder and editor-in-chief Jon Dean and managing editor Barry Brandon joined “City Lights” producer Myke Johns to talk about what goes into creating content for the queer community and unpacking how queer is distinct from gay and lesbian.
Along with their online and print publication, WUSSY also hosts a variety of events – including one Wednesday night. They are screening the film “Tank Girl” at the Plaza Theatre at 7 p.m.
And on June 28, WUSSY will celebrate the release of volume 4 of WUSSY quarterly arts magazine at the Atlanta Contemporary at 6 p.m.
