When famed children’s book author and illustrator Oliver Jeffers had a child of his own two years ago, he was faced with a massive responsibility: How do you explain the complexities of the world to a blank slate?
With that question in mind, Jeffers wrote a poignant sort of “user’s guide” for terrestrial newcomers.
On “City Lights,” the author spoke with host Lois Reitzes about “Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth.”
Jeffers is scheduled to appear at Little Shop of Stories in Decatur on Tuesday at 4 p.m. He’ll also give a lecture and sign books at Woodruff Arts Center’s Hill Auditorium at 7 p.m.
