WABE-Trees Atlanta Partnership

WABE is pleased to let you know that for every pledge we receive on April 19th of 2018, Trees Atlanta will plant a tree right here in metro Atlanta. This is for new, renewing or additional pledges made on this date only.

Please make your pledge here.

Support for WABE’s Trees Atlanta day partnership comes from the Farideh & Ali Azadi Foundation.

The WABE/Trees Atlanta Day partnership started on Earth Day 2010. Since that time WABE listeners have pledged, and Trees Atlanta has planted, over 14,885 tree seedlings.

Each tree is a year old seedling, selected by Trees Atlanta for their ability to thrive in our area. They’ll be planted in and around metro Atlanta.

Trees Atlanta is a nonprofit group that has been planting and conserving trees in Atlanta since 1985 and since their founding they’ve planted and distributed more than 125,000 trees. According to Trees Atlanta, metro Atlanta has lost 65 percent of its tree cover since 1975.  Trees Atlanta plants trees and restores urban forests and green spaces where it’s needed most.

Thank you to every supporter who has made Trees Atlanta Day so successful.
