Follow the Last Day of the 2014 Legislature with WABE News
This is the fortieth and final day of the 2014 Georgia General Assembly, also known as Sine Die (Latin for “without day,” parliamentary shorthand for adjourning without any further meetings). All legislative work has to stop by midnight tonight. Only bills that have passed both houses by that point can become law this year.
This will be a busy day.
WABE has a team of reporters down at the state Capitol covering the action. We’ve listed their individual Twitter feeds below so you can follow them. You can also follow our reporting and updates here and on Facebook, where we’ll be posting updates throughout the day.
And, of course, we’re on the radio at 90.1 FM. You can listen to Denis O’Hayer and the whole team beginning with BBC Newshour at 3:00 p.m., followed by All Things Considered at 4:00 p.m.
You can also listen to WABE by streaming our station live at wabe.org.
